Parker Lynn Named Field Manager

The Johnstown Mill Rats are pleased to announce that Parker Lynn, has been named as the first field manager of the Prospect League team.

Lynn is currently the Director of Baseball Operations for Gardner-Webb University, an NCAA D-1 school in Boiling Springs, NC. Prior to joining Gardner-Webb in July of 2019, Lynn spent one year at West Liberty University in West Virginia and three years as a Graduate Assistant coach at California University of Pennsylvania.

Parker Lynn currently serves as the Director of Baseball Operations at Gardner-Webb University, a NCAA Division I institution in Boiling Springs, NC. Lynn also has coaching stops at West Liberty University and California University of Pennsylvania.

A native of Belle Vernon, Lynn was the starting catcher at Cal U as a freshman before an injury took him into coaching.

In addition to college coaching experience, Lynn has coached in the Beach Collegiate and New England Summer College Baseball Leagues. He has professional baseball experience with the Washington Wildthings of the Frontier League as bullpen catcher and Team Operations Assistant.

The Johnstown Mill Rats are an expansion team in the Prospect League (www.prospectleague.com) which will play home games at Sargent’s Stadium at The Point. The Prospect League is a top summer collegiate baseball league operating with 14 teams from Illinois to Pennsylvania. The season begins in late May and concludes in early August with each team playing 30 home and 30 road games. More than 200 Prospect League alumni have played in the major leagues.
