Sully’s back!

JOHNSTOWN, PA – The Johnstown Mill Rats are proud to announce that Field Manager Tyler Sullivan is returning for the 2023 Prospect League Baseball Season.

Mill Rats President, William Davidson, said, “Tyler did a great job in 2022, leading the Mill Rats to the playoffs in only our second season. That’s a great accomplishment in a 16-team league and one I’m confident he can build on heading into next summer.”

Sullivan says he is excited to be back at the helm for another season and is ready to build off last year’s playoff run. The Mill Rats finished the 2022 season with a 29-31 record, good for 2nd place in the Prospect League’s Ohio River Valley Division. The Rats’ 17-12 2nd half record earned the team a post-season berth before falling to the Chillicothe Paints in a one-game Divisional Playoff.

Sullivan said, “Year one was an incredible learning experience for myself, personally, and I think we showed great improvement throughout the year.”

When asked about the 2023 squad, Sullivan went on to say, “I am currently working on the
roster, and I like the way it is shaping up.”

Sullivan predicts that Johnstown is going to see an exciting product on the field and hopes Mill Rats’ fans will #PackThePoint as the team makes another Prospect League playoff run.
