JOHNSTOWN, PA – From November 14 through December 4, the Mill Rats will be accepting gently used clean coats, hats and gloves. All gender of apparel and sizes are welcome – men’s women’s and children’s. Everyone who makes a clothing donation receives a pair of tickets to the Mill Rats home opener next June.
Coats, hats and gloves will be accepted at the Mill Rats offices at Sargent Stadium at The Point Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 2:00 – 5:00. Additional drop off locations are –
➢ Memorial Highway Chevrolet in Windber and Somerset
➢ Randy’s Bi–Lo in Windber
➢ Greystone Villa Court in Richland
➢ The Johnstown Tomahawks Offices at 1st Summit Arena at Cambria County War Memorial
If you drop your winter apparel at any location other than the Mill Rat’s offices, please email your name, address and phone to tickets@millrats.com so we have a record of your donation and can send your tickets in May or the Mill Rats home opener.
“The Mill Rats have received tremendous community support,” said Mill Rats spokesperson Lisa Downey. “A winter clothing drive is a great way for the Mill Rats to say ‘thank you’ while helping those in need.”
Top Hat Cleaners of Windber will clean the coats free of charge. Once all of the winter items have been collected and cleaned, they will be donated to families and children throughout the Greater Johnstown Region.
