Mill Rats Welcome the Pozuns to Local Ownership Group

The Johnstown Mill Rats are pleased to announce that Johnstown natives – Dr. Alex & Melissa Pozun – have become part-owners of the Prospect League team. The Pozuns join Johnstown’s Chad & Jill Gontkovic, Bart & Stacy Vickroy and Matt & Bristy Perry in ownership of the Mill Rats.

“Our vision has always been for a robust ownership group of local business and community leaders to chart the course for the organization,” said Bill Davidson, co-owner of the Mill Rats. “We are pleased to add individuals of the caliber of Alex and Melissa as we continue to grow our brand of family entertainment throughout the Greater Johnstown region.”

Dr. Pozun is a graduate of Westmont Hilltop High School and the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown. He is currently an Emergency Medicine physician at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown. Alex also serves at the team physician for the Johnstown Tomahawks.

Melissa was raised in Nicktown, PA and is a graduate of Bishop Carroll High School. She received her doctorate of physical therapy from St. Francis University and is a physical therapist at Conemaugh Memorial Medica Center.

“Some of my favorite childhood memories were spending summer nights watching baseball at the Point Stadium with my family and friends,” said Dr. Pozun. “Melissa and I want to make sure our three children can have those same experiences right here in Johnstown. We’ve always been big supports of the Johnstown area, especially local athletics.”

“Melissa and I want to see opportunities for family-friendly entertainment remain and continue to flourish here in Johnstown,” continued Dr. Pozun. “We are excited about the opportunity to help grow the Mill Rats organization, and support the Johnstown community.”

“Having the Dr. Pozun and Melissa Pozun join our ownership group and help chart the course of organization is another welcomed addition,” said Davidson. “Hopefully even more families will come on board as we continue on the path of making the Mill Rats Johnstown’s hometown team.”
