We are hosting a Major League Baseball Junior Home Run Derby at Point Stadium on Saturday, June 10th, at 10 am. This is a fun, free event for baseball and softball players to showcase their skills and potentially earn a spot at the National Finals, which takes place during the 2023 MLB All-Star Week.
Winners from the MLB Jr. Home Run Derby hosted by the Mill Rats will advance to the regional qualification round hosted hosted by the Cincinnati Reds at June 20th at Great American Ballpark. The regional winners will advance to the National finals at the MLB All-Star Game!
For baseball players there are two age groups 12 & under and 14 & under. For softaball players, there are two age groups 12 & under and 14 & under. The cut off date for participation is the age of the participant as of July 20, 2023.
Each athlete will have 25 swings or 3 minutes to hit as many homeruns as possible, whichever comes first. There will be two (2) rounds where the top four (4) participants in each age group from the first-round advance to the final round.
