Dan Roman

Owner, Johnstown Family Entertainment

Dan is one of three equity partners in Johnstown Family Entertainment, the entity which owns and operates the Johnstown Mill Rats. Dan is also Chief Financial Officer of National Sports Services. As CFO, Roman directs the financial strategy, operational planning, and business activities of NSS and across all the franchises in its ownership portfolio.

Dan has 20 + years of versatile leadership experience in not-for-profits, consulting services, industry, and start-ups. He most recently served as Chief Operating & Financial Officer at St. Augustine College—a nonprofit institution educating Chicago’s most under-resourced and under-served populations—and as a leader of Deloitte’s internal strategy team, where he helped solve the firm’s most complex financial, operational, and strategic challenges.

Prior to Deloitte, Dan held cross-functional leadership and transformational roles across several industries, and built, scaled, and led two early-stage companies, including a boutique M&A advisory and an award-winning live music entertainment concept.

Dan has a BA from the University of Colorado and an MBA from Northwestern University; he is also a CPA. Dan lives in the Chicago area with his wife and two children.

Bill Davidson

Owner, Johnstown Family Entertainment

Bill supervises the day-to-day operation of the Mill Rats on behalf of the Johnstown Family Entertainment. Since 1998, Bill has served as CEO of National Sports Services. On behalf of the firm, Bill prepares business plans for team operations and supervises the execution of the same with team personnel. He also is active in new market opportunities, feasibility studies, venue development and renovation and the representation of buyers and sellers of sports properties.

Bill serves as the President of the Prospect League and is Chairman and part-owner of the Lafayette (IN) Aviators. Both the Mill Rats and Aviators are members of the Prospect League.

With National Sports Services, Bill has held CFO / President positions with a number of teams including the Atlanta Gladiators hockey team (15 years), Stockton Thunder hockey team (8 years), and Harrisburg Senators baseball team (7 years).

Prior to forming National Sports Services, Bill served as President of the Chattanooga Lookouts (Cincinnati Reds AA affiliate) and General Manager of the Midland Angels (California Angels AA affiliate).

Bill earned a BA in Journalism and Public Relations from Purdue University and secured his Master’s in Education (Sport Management) from Wichita State University. He resides in Cleveland, Tennessee with his wife Susan and two sons.

Matt Perry

Owner, Johnstown Family Entertainment

Since 1998, Matt has served as President of National Sports Services. Matt provides a multitude of services for the firm, including new project development, facility development, financial and market feasibility, lease negotiations, securing project capital, and venue and team consulting.

He currently serves as the League Director for the company’s ownership of the Wilmington (NC) Sharks franchise, a member of the Coastal Plain League. Matt also supervises the day-to-day operations of The Spartanburgers (SC), a member of Coastal Plain League.

Prior to forming National Sports Services, Matt served as a top executive in all areas of day-to-day operations for the Midland Angels (as an Angels Double A affiliate), Columbia Mets (as a New York Mets Single A affiliate) and the Fayetteville Generals (as a Detroit Tigers Single A affiliate).

Matt earned his BS degree in Advertising and a Minor in Business from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, and secured his Master’s in Sport Management from Ohio State University. He resides in Lawrence, Kansas with his wife Kelly, and their three sons reside in Colorado and Kansas.
