Game 1

Noah Williamson, Chillicothe Paints blank Johnstown Mill Rats 2-0
Chillicothe blanked Johnstown 2-0 in game one of a Father’s Day double-header on
Sunday at Sargent’s Stadium.

The first game was a pitchers duel, headlined by Chillicothe starter Noah Williamson,
who tossed 5.2 innings, collecting six strikeouts along the way. He allowed six hits, but kept the
Mill Rats off the board throughout his outing.

Johnstown starter Graeme Rios was solid in the first game of the double-header, tossing
five innings while allowing just two earned runs on seven Chillicothe hits. He also collected three
strikeouts and walked two batters.

Chillicothe broke a scoreless tie in the fourth inning, with eight Paints batters coming to
the plate. Paints designated hitter Felix Polanco would score center fielder Eric Colaco on a
sacrifice-fly while second baseman Jhors Gomez smashed a ball into the left-center field gap for
an RBI-double to score shortstop Cameron Bowen.

Colaco was a force for the Paints in game one, going 3-for-4 with a stolen base and a
run scored. Catcher Ty Hatfield and left fielder Alex Monile also had hits for Chillicothe, capping
off an eight-hit first game for the Paints.

Johnstown’s offense was blanked in game one came, with center fielder Colton Ayres,
who had a 3-for-4 game at the plate, being the only bright spot. Catcher Logan Murphy collected
two hits as well.

Before the second game of the double-header, the win moved Chillicothe to a 10-5
record while Johnstown fell to 9-8.

Game 2

Six-run seventh inning, early offense leads Chillicothe to 10-4 win and double-header
sweep of Johnstown.

A six-run seventh inning and some solid pitching lead the Chillicothe Paints to a 10-4 win
over the Johnstown Mill Rats in game two of a Father’s Day double-header at Sargent’s
Stadium on Sunday.

Johnstown starting pitcher Tyler Elliott struggled, allowing four runs, two of them earned,
over two innings of work. Elliot also struck out a batter and walked a batter in his short outing.

Elliot was relieved by Will Juday, who’s work kept the Mill Rats in it until the end as he
pitched four scoreless innings with five strikeouts.

The Paints offense found success in game two, much like they did in game one, taking
advantage with runners in scoring position, batting 3-for-7 in those scenarios. Left fielder Alex
Monile was 2-for-3 on the evening, while designated hitter Graham Solak contributed with two
RBIs.

Chillicothe starting pitcher Scotty Adelman was dealing before the fifth inning, shutting
out the Mill Rats in the first four. Adelman finished with 5 IP, 4 H, 3 ER, 4 BB and 2 Ks. The fifth
inning saw the first Johnstown runs of the day, with two coming from a Dom Krupinski home-run
that was questioned by Chillcothe, but would stand anyway. Multiple walked batters would
eventually lead to a hit by pitch RBI for Wesley Parker, pulling the Mill Rats within one.
Chillicothe added to their 4-3 lead in the seventh, as second baseman Jhors Gomez,
who was 2-for-4 in game two, added an RBI single to extend the lead. Cameron Bowen added
two more off the left field screen monster, giving Chillicothe a four-run advantage.
The Paints would add on with more offense in the seventh, pushing the game out of
reach with a 10-3 scoreline.

Johnstown’s record with the loss dropped to 9-9, including a 2-3 record in their past five
games. Chillicothe improved to 11-5, improving their record versus Johnstown to 4-2.
Johnstown is off Monday and Tuesday before resuming action on Wednesday, June 19
and Thursday, June 20 as the Mill Rats welcome the Thrillville Thrillbillies, who swept
Johnstown in Thrillville in a two-game set in Thrillville earlier this season.
